Open Letter from Sadiah at Amor Beauty

Wow what a week it has been so far, it was completely heart breaking having to close the salon on Saturday (as some of you would have seen from my video on Facebook), but I do know deep down it was the right thing to do to ensure everyone is safe. I would like to thank all of you for your kind words, messages and emails showering me with all your love and support it was truly humbling. It took me a while to go through them all as I couldn’t bring myself to read them without being an emotional wreck, but I can read them now with a smile on my face.  So what have I been up to, well I have mainly been sorting out my finances like many of us I imagine. I have been on hold for hours with various different companies some helpful others not so, the longest process was 18 hours just to try and get an appointment I finally got through to my relief and now have to wait until 7th April for them to call me back. As I write this Bal is still on hold for his appointment we are almost at the 24 hour mark, I think we will both sleep well tonight I hope he gets through by then. I know we are not alone and this is the same for many of us at this time. One thing for sure I won’t forget that hold music in a hurry.  Each day I cannot wait for 5pm to see what Boris has in store for us some good news I hope everyday, is that just me or are you guys the same? I feel like I am in some movie and this is all not real but then I realise it is very very real. Both my brother and sister in law have had the symptoms, my brother is out the other side now and my sister in law is on day 8 she told me her symptoms have been as follows: Day 1 - severe fatigue, muscles aches, weak calves and struggled to sleep through the pain. Day 2 - sneezing, slight sore throat and fatigue. Day 3 - metallic taste in mouth, vomiting, diarrhoea and extreme fatigue. Day 4 - 100% complete loss of taste and smell and severe headache. Day 5 - loss of appetite, vomiting, fever and diarrhoea.  Day 6 - extreme tightness in chest, struggling to breathe, pain in upper back, neck numbness, ears blocked, numbness in face and a dry cough.  Day 7 - still no appetite, no smell or taste, pressure in chest remains, fatigue and cough.  Day 8 - still ongoing  When I read this it hit home how very real this is. They won’t test either of them, I guess they cannot test everyone unless symptoms get worse so please take care of yourselves, stay safe and stay home.  I have been trying not to watch the news as I am finding it really sad but I did see that they were turning London Excel into the Nightingale hospital with over 4000 beds and a morgue, now I have been to excel many a time for beauty shows and it is a massive building this virus is far worse then any of us can ever imagine for such big steps to be taken by our government and the world stay home people stay home.  So I decided to volunteer and put my name down to be an NHS Responder to help support our NHS and country at this time. I have seen that over half a million other people have also done this, I actually shed a tear when I saw this we really do live in Great Britain and I am so proud to be able to play my small part in it. One small act of kindness can save someone else’s life.  I will remain active on social media during this time and will be doing lots of work behind the scenes for the salon and home so keep your eyes and ears peeled. You never know I may actually get my desk when I return. If the weather stays like this then fingers crossed the desk will be ready.  I wanted to know if there is anything you want to see from me? What can I do for you? If you think of anything let me know and I will see what I can do. Some of you have asked how you can support my small business at this time I will let you wok know in due course.  I also want you to know that I am here for you. I know some of you live on your own or even those that live with people you may find it hard at this time , if you are feeling lonely, depressed, bored or just want to chat or a catch up then please feel free to send me a message via WhatsApp to the salon number 02083374001 or pop me an email or private message and I will call you back as soon as I can. Please message anytime and I mean that.  I have one request please join me this evening Thursday 26th March at 8pm along with the rest of the nation to show your appreciation for the NHS and all the key workers by applauding from your front doors, windows and balconies.  Finally I wanted to say I hope you and your family are all safe and well I am really looking forward to seeing you all again soon.  See you on the other side…….. Love, Sadiah  xxx
